A firm believer that luxurious skincare should be everyday routine rather than occasional indulgence, Erin Stinson opened her charming beauty boutique Le Remède in this past March with the aim of bringing that European sensibility to the Stateside cosmetic scene. Inspired by her three years spent working in an Oregon spa under the mentorship of Parisian owner and ex-Dior cosmetic chemist Helene Lawless, Stinson fit-out her sleek salon in fabulous, tres chic style, with soft greige walls, pristine white and vintage furniture, and shelves piled high with a plethora of hard-to-find, often wholly natural products to enrich the face, body and mane.
Best-selling items include Pevonia Botanica’s organic skincare product range, nature-inspired scented candles by Aquiesse (like our favourite Black Cypress & Cassis), and Roger & Gallet body lotions including the refreshing Gingembre, plus Klorane, Avibon, PFB Vanish and Serious Serum. Some of Stinson’s coveted cache is available exclusively via LR, so Chicagoans seeking high quality mineral makeup by Colorescience, cult French brand Homeoplasmine, and Nuxe’s Huile Prodigieuse dry oil for skin and hair, your search stops here. And if that’s not enough to lure you in, she’s also set up adorable spa facilities offering relaxing facials, salt scrubs, hydrating body wraps and steam detoxes. Sweet remedy!
