Launched in 2009 to cater to women seeking the perfect bag, Laudi Vidni is the brainchild of fashionable friends Laura Kofoid and Grace Tsao-Wu, who pride themselves on using recycled packaging and fine Italian leathers hand-crafted in a Chicago-based workroom. As well as offering a stylish selection of ready-to-buy (also available in boutique Lulu’s On The Avenue), like the gorgeous Aria cross-body bag in eye-catching fuchsia and purple or emerald and vibrant blue, it’s LV’s bespoke service that has gained them a cult fashion following.
Their name is not a backward anagram of ‘individual’ for nothing, with every aspect of the bag customisable both instore and online. First, select your bag’s shape from their five must-have styles, like the small Tempo Envelope clutch (that can double as an iPad case), the Alto Colour-Block Wristlet or large Forte Tote (with or without zip), before choosing a leather and colour scheme from ten different options including bright croc green, Italian woven teal, soft grain in cayenne or dark chocolate or the rich distressed redwood. For the final flourish, patrons can personalise the lining by selecting a plain or printed cotton insert in black and white polkadot or antique red (among others). The only problem? One just simply won’t be enough.
