In the beginning there was the delightful and hugely successful monthly indoor bazaar Dose
,brainchild of April Francis and curator/founders Heather Sperling, Emily Fiffer and Jessica Herman. Their solid careers in food, fashion and journalism brought Dose the perfect combination of style and marketing flair, but with the announcement of their split from Francis, Chicagoans were left wondering what was next for the trio. December 2012 saw the results of their labours with the resoundingly successful pop-up launch of gift-centric nighttime market Fête, and Thursday April 4th sees the arrival of their even bigger second event.
Not content with staying as purely a gifting market with added artisanal food, the all new Fête boasts not only the original night market with two floors of design, fashion and dinner from the likes of Ruxbin
and Pecking Order, but a phalanx of additional talks, tours and tasty treats set over the entire weekend. Take a rare opportunity to see behind the scenes at revolutionary food project The Plant with founder John Edel, meet Martin Kastner, iconic tableware designer for Alinea, Next and Aviary, and be front and central for the launch of brand new semi-annual food and recipe magazine Middlewest, from Time Out Chicago food critic David Tamarkin. Your fate is Fête!
