The Peninsula Academy is now offering two new classes to provide guests with more ways to explore Chicago culture: a Customized Private Tour of The Art Institute of Chicago and a Chicago Film Tour. The exclusive Art Institute program represents the "Art of Hospitality", a new initiative introduced by The Peninsula Chicago’s Peninsula Academy program where hotel guests can immerse themselves in the world of art. The course offers a rare opportunity to spend time exploring an exhibit with one of the museum’s Art Historians. Guests will pre-select the topic and area of interest and the guide will provide an in-depth perspective for one to eight people. This program also includes a one-hour tour of The Peninsula Chicago’s art collection. Two-weeks advance reservation is required and pricing starts at US$ 500 for the hotel and museum tours.

The Chicago Film Tour, which exemplifies the "Culture and Family" theme, is the perfect way for guests to discover the city from a new perspective. Participants travel over 30 miles in two hours, venturing throughout Chicago to see famous locations of movie scenes filmed here in the Windy City. Re-live favorites including Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and The Blues Brothers and reminisce over classics such as North by Northwest. Guests can choose to take a pre-set tour or they may self-select locations based on their movie preferences. This two-hour tour requires 48-hours advance reservations and is ideal for up to four people. Pricing for this program starts at US $700 per tour.
