A Parisian Rendezvous on Rodeo
On Rodeo Bistro & Lounge
The world-famous site of Julia Roberts’ Pretty Woman shopping spree, Rodeo Drive was originally developed as America’s answer to the fashionable streets of Paris; haute label flagships with equally luxurious wares and an abundance of fabulous people-watching shopportunity. In an ode to its inspiration, new French eatery On Rodeo Bistro and Lounge has opened its heavy oak doors, transporting its well-heeled patrons to a scene more reminiscent of the Champs Elysees than Beverly Hills.
With a chic cream interior and charming outdoor patio, the new 30-seater has executive chef Olivier Rouselle at the helm and an innovative yet classic menu on the plate, including grilled-then-chilled prawns with gazpacho to start, followed by lobster club sandwich, roasted jidori chicken and sea bass with ginger beurre blanc.
Award-winning mixologist Matthew Biancaniello’s zesty cocktail menu features classics with a twist, like the blackberry and basil mojito, plus inventive signature blends like the Kentucky Bubblebath with whiskey, cynar and lavender water, and the Last Word with gin, green chartreuse, maraschino liqueur and cacao nibs. Or, if you find yourself nearby at 4pm, be sure to stop in for Social Hour where you can even match your drink to your shopping bag with a Designer Cocktail. Oh, Bartender, be a dear and shake me a Valentino? Only in L.A, darling.
