With a menu that melds French and Italian favourites with some cute American quirks, a handsome timber and neutrals interior, and a small alfresco patio area perfect for balmy evening cocktails, this lunch, afternoon tea and dinner spot has already proved a fashionable destination.
Starters range from cranberry and walnut salad with goat’s cheese and maple dijon vinaigrette to a wasabi-laced tuna tartare, with mains like squid ink rice with calamari, mussels and clams, roast baby lamb chops with rosemary potatoes, and pan-roasted salmon with sauteed fennel. The white truffle and parmesan fries make the perfect accompaniment to almost all the main courses, but with strawberries macerated in 12-year old balsamic vinegar over orange-scented mascarpone, and rum flambéed banana bread pudding waiting in the wings, you’ll need all the waistband space you can muster.
