Glam Sanlitun Sips
The humming throng of Sanlitun is not exactly short of happening restaurant-bar-lounges, so what does it take to get the attention of Beijing’s hip style set? The answer is, THREE floors of uber-stylish in-outdoor drinking, dining, dancing and revelry – and that’s exactly what Parnas Bar & Terrace has on offer. Situated in the former Saddle Cantina space, Nali Patio’s newest resident fuses all kinds of grown-up elements to sophisticated ends, including a ground floor, brick, wood and polished concrete café-bar that by day serves up coffee and light bites, and ramps up come nightfall with cocktails, champagne, and many a gussied up prettykin in attendance.
Next up on level two is Parnas’ French restaurant, a more refined-looking version of the raw offering downstairs, replete with tufted dining chairs and chandeliers, plus classic Gallic and fusion-tinged dishes including goose liver terrine with onion jam and gingerbread, salmon gravlax with baby spinach, blinis and chive cream, Japanese sea scallops with daikon in citrus vodka foam, and pan fried sea bass filet with seasonal vegetables. Finally, Parnas’ trump card comes in the form of their Euro-chic roof terrace, dressed in cool whites and wicker furnishings, with strung sailcloths, pulsing DJ beats, models and bottles completing the glam look.
