Fei Space

The 798 district of Beijing is renowned as a hub for contemporary art, and while rarely seen as a retail hot spot, it’s also home to a creative bazaar that’s attracted a constant stream of fashionistas and interior designers since it opened in 2008. The brainchild of artist Lin Jing and style mogul Ray Lee, hip concept store Fei Space is a two-storey converted factory that comes light and airy with reclaimed wooden doors, industrial-style chandeliers and marble flooring throughout.

Exuding a charmingly bohemian vibe, Fei Space houses Ling’s own ‘Linstallation’ range of ceramic tableware (like teapots inspired by the flow of water) and furniture from vintage brands like InRetro’s beautiful European selection sourced from 1950-1970. Also on offer is Lee’s curated ‘Chopshop’ featuring international labels such as Henrik Vibskov for cult Danish menswear, the floral-chic of b.Store and casual apparel by Cheap Monday, alongside Alexander Wang sunglasses, stylish footwear by Hermes (women) and Marc Jacobs (men), plus Alyssa Norton jewellery and gorgeous leather bags by Rebecca Minkoff. And thanks to Lee’s passion for British fashion, there’s even House of Holland’s funky-printed womenswear, patent neon Cambridge Satchels, and exclusively at Fei Space, high-street trendsetters Topshop and Topman.
