China’s historic Great Wall has long been a magnet for visitors, but few have ventured off the beaten path to visit the wilder side of this spectacular World Heritage site. This year, guests of The Peninsula Beijing will have the chance to hike along an un-restored section of the wall under the guidance of The Peninsula Academy, traversing uneven paths and veiwing sights that have rarely been seen. During the eight-hour trip, an expert on the site and its environs will reveal lesser-known facts about the Great Wall and related Chinese history and participants will pause to enjoy a picnic lunch.

The Wild Great Wall tour is available for RMB 1,650 per person, with a minimum of two particpants.
