Local Transportation

Buses, subway and taxis are the primary means of public transport in Beijing. Hotel transfers and taxis are the recommended and easiest way for tourist and business travelers. As Beijing is an extremely large city, spaces on maps may easily mislead you for actual distances as maps are not usually drawn to scale.

Limousine

Limousine
The hotel's chauffeur-driven Rolls-Royce and BMW limousines are available for hire on an hourly or daily basis. This is the ideal option for travelling around the city or to tourist attractions further out from the capital. Our English-speaking drivers will adjust the itinerary according to your wishes and attend to your every need along the way, while constantly being in contact with the hotel. Advanced booking is recommended.

Taxi

Metered taxis are plentiful and inexpensive, but communication may be challenging since most drivers do not speak English. It is always advisable to have the name of the establishment and address written in Chinese by the hotel Concierge. The flag fall is RMB 10 and surcharges apply for trips longer than 10km or for trips commencing after 11:00 pm.

Subway

The Beijing Subway System has five lines and the single journey fare for all lines is RMB 2.

Line 1 runs from Pingguoyuan to Sihui.

Line 2, also known as the Circle Line, runs through the centre of the city, including
Yonghegong, Gulou Dajie, and Hepingmen stations.

Line 13 connects the north of the city to downtown Beijing.

Batong Line 4 connects the residential area in the south to downtown Beijing.

Line 5 runs from Tiantongyuanbei to Songjiazhuang. It is Beijing’s first north to south underground railway line.
