Tailor On Ten
Until now we’d never have advised anyone to travel to Bangkok for a tailor, but all that has changed with the opening of Tailor On Ten, the charming, garden-fronted atelier of Canadian suit supremos Alex and Ben Cole.
Located at the very end of a quiet and leafy soi, Tailor on Ten is from your first step inside an experience of quiet, understated luxury, fine fabrics and personal attention to detail. Here you’ll find that all handmade shirts come with Mother of Pearl buttons sourced from Tahitian, Pacific and Andaman oysters, 100% wool suits come with Bemberg linings as standard, and in an evocation of Savile Row, with its skilled tailors in house, every pattern, cut and stitch is handled on the premises, providing an authentic bespoke experience.
At Tailor on Ten, knowledge of the latest fashion trends is just as important as old-school sensitivities like employing a floating canvas construction, and when paired with artisan craftsmanship and an impressive range of suitings including Holland and Sherry, Zegna, Loro Piana, Scabal, John Fosters and Dormeuil, the resultant quality is as sharp and seamless as a Neapolitan rope shoulder.
Add quality Egyptian cotton shirtings from famous mills such as Thomas Mason, Alumo and Soktas, and you’ll be Bangkok booted and suited in no time. Instead of Soi 8, perhaps they should rename it Savile Soi!
