Guests looking for a unique experience during their stay in Thailand can now relax in style on The Peninsula Bangkok’s river boat as it cruises past scenes of river life en route to the fascinating Wat Arun or Temple of Dawn.
For the ultimate in romance in the “Venice of the East”, the nightly Sundown Cocktail Cruise is a pleasant odyssey to the breathtaking ancient Temple of Dawn as the sun sets directly behind the glowing temple against an impressive red sky. Unlimited drinks and a selection of canapés prepared by The Peninsula’s culinary team are served on board during the cruise, and a guide points out the noteworthy sights along the river banks.
Trips: Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays
Duration: One hour, departing from the hotel pier at 5:30 pm
Booking: Same-day reservations must be made before 3:00 pm
Price: THB 1,250 per person, including unlimited standard drinks and canapés
Menu: Roasted mixed mushroom crostini with a hint of garlic
Oven-baked tomato, mozzarella and olive pissaladiere
Smoked salmon roll with horseradish cream and capers
Fresh river prawns with Thai-inspired spicy dip
Rillette of duck with cornichons and pickled onions
*Private trips for a maximum of 15 people are priced at THB 15,000++ per trip and are available on weekdays only (advance reservations are required)
Terms and Conditions
- A full cancellation charge will be incurred for reservations not cancelled three hours prior to the departure time, or in case of no-show
- A minimum of three hours advance reservations are required, subject to availability
- Prices are subject to 10% service charge and applicable government tax
- The hotel reserves the right to change the departure time due to seasonal sunset timings, and/or to cancel the trip due to any unforeseen events or adverse weather conditions
