The Peninsula Bangkok won the honour of being “Top City Hotel in Asia” in Travel + Leisure  Magazine’s 2012 World’s Best Awards and No 11 in its Top 100 Hotels globally. Splendidly set in lush grounds on the banks of Bangkok’s historic Chao Phraya River, the luxurious city resort achieved an outstanding score of 95.72.

Acclaiming the top hotels, cities, islands, cruise lines, airlines and more, the Travel + Leisure  awards directly reflect the results of the annual World’s Best Awards Survey.  Now in its 17th year, the survey asks readers to rank their most highly-esteemed resorts and travel operators across key categories.

Travel + Leisure  readers also preferred Bangkok overall as a destination, ranking the city No 1 as the World’s Best City and the Best City in Asia, for the third consecutive year.
