  • Mr Nicolas Béliard
    General Manager
    Mr. Nicolas Béliard joined The Peninsula Hotels in 2009 as Resident Manager of The Peninsula Hong Kong. He began his hospitality career in St. Tropez, France and progressively reached senior positions with international luxury hotels such as Four Seasons hotels in New York, Paris, the West Indies and Geneva, as well as the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Miami. A French national, Mr. Béliard was educated in the US and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University, a Master of Business Administration degree from the Crummer Graduate School of Management and a Master of Management degree in Hospitality from the Cornell School of Management.
  • Mr Mark J Choon
    Hotel Manager
    Mr Mark J Choon started his career with The Peninsula Hotels as Night Manager at The Peninsula Chicago during the hotel’s pre-opening period in 2001, and since then was promoted several times within the Front Office and Rooms Divisions, culminating in his appointment as the hotel's Resident Manager in 2008. A Korean-American, Mr Choon was educated in the US at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and holds a Certificate in the Essentials of Hospitality Management from Cornell University.
  • Mr Sunsakhon Pikulkeha

    Director of Finance
    Mr Pikulkeha joins The Peninsula Bangkok with the experience and knowledge he gained from 14 years in the financial departments of hotels in Chiang Mai, Koh Samui, Bangkok and Lanai, Hawaii. This included his roles as Assistant Director of Finance with luxury chain Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and most recently as Director of Finance with Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit in Bangkok. Holding, among other qualifications, a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Administration in Tourism Industry Management from Chiang Mai University, Mr Pikulkeha is a Thai national who speaks fluent English.

  • Mr Mike Peter Wehrle
    Executive Chef
    Prior to joining The Peninsula Bangkok, Chef Wehrle fine-tuned his culinary skills and knowledge in one- and three-Michelin-star restaurants in various hotels in Germany, Switzerland, the UK and France. A German national, Chef Wehrle also speaks fluent English, and has taken part in a variety of culinary competitions and special courses.

  • Mr Thomas Vaucouleur de Ville d’Avray
    Director of Food and Beverage
    Mr Vaucouleur de Ville d’Avray brings with him to The Peninsula Bangkok a wealth of experience and talent gained through food and beverage positions with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts and The Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts in such locations as Tokyo, Paris, Hong Kong, Singapore and Cairo, as well as the renowned One&Only Reethi Rah in the Maldives. Holding among other qualifications a Food & Beverage Diploma from the SHATEC Hotel School in Singapore, Mr Vaucouleur de Ville d’Avray is a French national who also speaks fluent Japanese, English and Spanish.
  • Mr Raoul Hoelzle
    Director of Rooms
    A German national with over 15 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, Mr. Raoul Hoelzle has worked in luxury hotels in Australia, New Zealand, UK and Germany, and prior to joining The Peninsula Bangkok, held the position of Director of Rooms at the Park Hyatt Melbourne, Australia. Mr Hoelzle was educated in Germany and Austria, and holds a Master’s degree in Tourism and Hospitality from the Modul Fachhochschule in Vienna.
  • Ms Wanida Saranpaibool

    Director of Catering
    Ms Wanida Saranpaibool joins The Peninsula Hotel from The St. Regis Bangkok where she was the Director of Events & Convention Services. Prior to this she spent 19 years at Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok in the roles of Sales Manager, Associate Director of Sales and Director of Convention Services. Ms Saranpaibool brings a wealth of experience and skill in the corporate sales and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) sectors to her new posting at The Peninsula Bangkok. A Thai national, also fluent in English, she holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Assumption University with a major in marketing.

  • Mr Gopal Kumar
    Director of Spa
    Mr Kumar’s impressive career to date has seen him involved in managing spas, pre-opening teams and training at five-star deluxe hotels and resorts in various locations around the world. Most recently, he was Director of Spa & Fitness at Spa by ESPA at One&Only Reethi Rah Maldives, with postings before this including with The Oberoi Group of Hotels & Spas at several locations in India. An Indian national who speaks Hindi and English, Mr Kumar holds numerous diplomas, including those for spa concepts and business basics, hot and cold stone therapy, and holistic nutrition therapy, as well as certification in ESPA management and ESPA treatments.
  • Mr Pisit Chunhavachira
    Director of Human Resources
    Prior to joining The Peninsula, Khun Pisit worked at Nachi Technology Ltd as Human Resources Manager looking after departmental functions and managing cross-cultural issues. Prior to that, he was employed with Gestetner (Thailand) Ltd as Human Resources and Administration Director, where he launched many initiatives helping the company move forward.

  • Mr Yudhadanai Vesarach
    Chief Concierge
    A Thai national, Khun Yudhadanai has been in the hotel industry for over 29 years. On completing his university studies, he joined The Siam Intercontinental Hotel, and The Regent as Chief Concierge, and then The Peninsula Bangkok as Chief Concierge in 1999.
